We sat down with our Mabdeck Product Manager Ruby Friel and Junior Product Owner Joshua Jones, to learn more about their recent visit to see the ZENNER Middle East team in Dubai.
So… how was Dubai! What was the purpose of your visit?
Ruby: Amazing! The main aims were to go through some Mabdeck training for our ZENNER colleagues and map out some future Mabdeck enhancements that their team will be working on as they expand across the Middle East.
Josh: Yes, Dubai was an amazing opportunity, I really enjoyed it! It was great to do some high level Mabdeck development planning face to face with the ZENNER Middle East team.
What was it like to collaborate with the team in-person?
Ruby: Really nice! It’s great to meet people in person that you’ve been speaking to over email for years!
Josh: Talking to the ZENNER Middle East team in person really helped us to understand their Mabdeck requirements more, because they have slightly different issues and processes relating to metering and billing for cooling, rather than heating and certain cultural differences.
Ruby: Yes, even small things… like customers in Dubai expecting to receive all their statement information within an email. Whereas in the UK we use emails only to notify of a new statement being available to view inside the customer’s online account.
Josh: It was also amazing to see some of the huge towers in Dubai that utilise Mabdeck! Including the third tallest building in Dubai!
