What is a B Corp?
A certified B Corp is a company that is unlocking business as a force for good to positively impact all stakeholders in the community. By completing the B impact assessment, businesses are certified for operating at a high standard of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. There are now over 6,000 B Corps around the world and over 1,000 B Corps in the UK all working towards the same common goals.
Our Score!
Sycous have achieved an overall B Impact score of 94.9! To certify as a B Corp, businesses must achieve a score of 80 to qualify, with the average score for ordinary businesses being around 50.9. The B Impact score takes a range of categories into account including Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers, with the highest scoring Sycous categories including Workers and the Environment. Compared to alternative sustainability accreditations, B Corp certification is a rigours process and considers documentation of a company’s business model, information about operations, structure, work processes as well as review of potential public complaints and possible site visits.
